Autoboys Services (Pty) Ltd (“Autoboys”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information processed through www.autoboys.co.za (the “Website”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, when it may be shared, and the rights available to you.
This Policy is intended to apply to our website, online forms, quote-request journeys, contact/enquiry channels and related digital services operated by or on behalf of Autoboys. It should be read together with any applicable terms and conditions, notices or consent statements displayed on individual forms or services.
Autoboys processes personal information in accordance with applicable South African law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”), its regulations, the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (“PAIA”), and, where applicable, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (“ECTA”). POPIA establishes conditions for lawful processing of personal information and provides rights to data subjects; PAIA regulates rights of access to information. POPIA has been in force in its substantive provisions since 1 July 2021.
This Policy is a website privacy notice and does not replace Autoboys’ PAIA Manual, internal information-security policies, records-retention policies or other compliance documents.
Autoboys Services (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for personal information processed for purposes described in this Policy, subject to the particular service or transaction involved. Where an external service provider processes personal information on Autoboys’ behalf, that provider acts as an operator or service provider as applicable, and remains responsible for ensuring appropriate safeguards and lawful processing.

You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the communication or by contacting marketing@autoboys.co.za. Unsubscribing from marketing does not necessarily stop service-related, transactional or other communications that are necessary for an enquiry, transaction or legal obligation.

Where a breach triggers a notification obligation, we will notify the Information Regulator and affected data subjects as required by law and provide the information required by the applicable legal framework.
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, social-media platforms or other services. Those third parties have their own privacy practices and terms. Autoboys is not responsible for the privacy practices, content or security of third-party websites or services once you leave the Website.
